Any advice of how to explain Jesus to a new Christian?

they are not sure about Jesus, but they believe in God.Any advice of how to explain Jesus to a new Christian?
God is pure! without spot or blemish

He can't hang with you, if you are not pure, else he would become blemished.

If you believe that Jesus' death was effective in removing your impurity, then you become spotless and can hang with God.

Jesus, the great spot remover.Any advice of how to explain Jesus to a new Christian?
actually i DO in fact rock. here is a link to my Christian Rock band

the very word ';christian'; is derived from Jesus's last name...

Jesus Christ!

if they don't believe in Jesus, then they're not a new christian yet,

jewish and islam believe in God too,

many other religions have God ...

american indians have 'the great spirit'... same thing, different spelling
Did Jesus or his Apostles follow a religion called Christianity? Who were the first 'Christians' ? Who founded Christianity and do the teachings of Christianity conform to the teachings of Jesus?

The teachings of Paul, the true founder of Christianity, cannot be found anywhere in the teachings of Jesus or in those of prophets before him.

As a spiritual advisor, I use this tactic alot with Christians.....first tell them who Jesus actually is.....what he done...his teachings....and by all means tell them to read the Bible....and this is another thing that's very important.....let them know that not all interpretations of the Bible may not sound or be the same coming from people....and ';new'; Christians, they can become easily confused by everyone's beliefs coming at them all at once....you see?...and one more thing....(please don't take this personally)....unless you are a long-time or full-flegded Christian yourself and know alot about the Bible, please don't try to do the educating.....because like I said....if one doesn't know something, then how may he teach it to another?....but by all means stick by your friend...and help lead them in the right direction....God bless you....
I think that it is something they have to find out for them selves.
Let them get into the vibe first then you can explain it to them! =)
They need to go to church, read the bible, ask a pastor, etc...
Just give them a bible and let them interpret it the way they want. That's what so many people do anyway.
everybody talks about him dying on the cross, but listen to what he said to deserve such a fate...

love one another...

better to give than to recieve...

you don't believe in jesus for the pie in the sky reward...

what he said when he was here!!!

spartacus died on the cross too, good story,

but if you read jesus words...

i think it's in what he said more than just dying for us
maybe i can help you..... can you give me your e-mail add then we could help your friends. my e-mail add is sc_rieta@yahoo.com
how could they be a new christian without knowing of Jesus. You should say a potential christian. In that case any explanation will probably generate great guffaws of laughter or a stunned silence followed by, ';are you seriious?';
Easy, belive what you wish to belive
Tell this new Christian that Jesus was one and three at the same time; that he was also God; that he died, stayed three days in a grave then was resurrected; he dwells in all the believers but is unable to prevent them from molesting young boys, paying for gay sex or calling for the murder of people of other religions.

That oughta do it.
Just tell them to dive into the Gospels. Nothing like The Word.
explain to them that one cross equals their salvation.

he came from heaven to earth

to show the way

from the earth to the cros

my debt to pay

from the cross to the grave

from the grave to the sky

Nicely ask her if you can talk after church. Then just tell her that you like her... Its the only way you will know.

She's either gonna say yes or no. If she says yes ill be glad that you asked. If she says no it will hurt but thats just gods plan for you... time and god will heal all things.

Just because you and she are Christians doesn't mean you have to talk to her any different than a non-Christian girl. You do have the advantage of having something in common though, which is always good, and if she is a nice Christian girl, then I am sure she will be kind towards you, even if she is with her friends.
Dude, i say just go up to her and talk to her.... ask her about her day or start out by saying if she is sitting ';Hi, can i sit here'; or if she is standing just go to her and say '; Hi, my name is - and what is yours? just satart a conversation, besides it is a church, she is not going to be mean in a church....
Hey man, we've all been there.

Thing is, we all just have to man up at some point and not be afraid to talk to someone.

Try to just become good friends with her first.

Once y'all are, you can get her number and talk to her that way, so she won't have her friends around and you can talk to her one on one.

Good luck buddy.
I'm 57 and were I not married I might have the same problem. However, there will come a time when you will get a chance to talk to her without her friends. Also, if she knows who you are, and I assume she does, talk to her anyway. Gently join in with her group. See what they are talking about and join rather than change the subject. After awhile if you can hit it off you will by just being another friend. Hope this helps.
I don't really see the reason why an answering person must be Christian to answer this for you. Although, I personally AM Christian.

Anyhow... what you should do is find some way to break the ice. Wait until she's not with friends. Or, taking an indirect approach, get to know one of her friends first... then move on to initial contact.
ask if you could talk alone and just start talking to her about the sermon that was delivered or about the bible passages that were talked about during that day. idk how to help you with that cause im Catholic, but thats what i would do if i saw a guy that i liked...good luck!
I think that you should tell her you want to show her a bible verse, and then read her Psalms 32:5. She will think you're so adorable, and she'll be hanging out with you almost all of time, instead of her friends. Good Luck :)
ask her to sleep with you. it always works. if it doesn't, get some drugs and dose her up. That'll surely work! Goodluck! hahaha

-for the record, please no one actually do this to someone. I was joking. I refuse to be held responsible for your actions. lol
sorry kid its a public forum so you cant ask religious discrimatory questions

do it again and ill have your account deleted
do it step by step, first make friends with her, it is always nice to start a relationship with being just friends.. then make you move..
Try and have eye contact with her at first, then if she replies back get near her when she is alone and ask her her name and go on from there...for a 14 year old guy this should be easy :) don't be afraid
well just say to her hi and then talk about what you both though of ';todays session'; (if you get what I mean)

Good Luck
....just talk to her....no big deal.. her friends wont care..maybe just introduce ur self to all of them. and get her friends to like you too
talk about witch burning with her...................... like me....... i am a witch............. witches like....... well, sexual things. i am sue that will set the mood for you guys....

Just talk to her. You can start by asking her how long she's been going to the church, how strong her relationship with God is, you know, a simple conversation. After you keep doing this, things will start to build from there.

    I have lots of questions

Like : Why Egypt is mentioned so much in the New Testament?I need advice from a Christian?
Always remember... don't get all turned around trying to figure out what everything means in the bible. It all comes down to you and the decisions you make, and you know in your heart whats right and wrong. Anyways, as you get older things will make more sense.I need advice from a Christian?
Egypt is mentioned 22 times in the New Testament and each time it refers to the actual place of Egypt.

However, sin can metaphorically be considered Egypt because it has enslaved God's people the Christians just like Egypt did the Hebrews.
Egypt is mentioned in the first few chapters of Matthew. Matthew wanted to make a connection between Jesus and the nation of Israel going to Egypt, then returning. After that, it's mentioned in Acts and Hebrews as a historical reference. The Exodus was the primary event of Jewish history and the Jews were regarded as the spiritual ancestors of Christians. Egypt symbolized a former life, a place to have come from. It's not mentioned all that much.
Egypt is mentioned a lot in an old testament, I'm not sure I remember it being mentioned in the new. Try going to a Bible study at a protestand church, yahoo answers will not get you too far.
    Hi,

Yipes, I read some of the answers you got so far; Egypt is referred to in the New Testament because it was mentioned so much in the Old - Egypt is one of the main

Nations that will be allied with Antichrist when he comes against the Children of God in the end times; Never listen to anyone who tells you to not bother with the old testament - it is absolutely essential that you read the Old, esspecially the writings of all the Prophets

(Ezekiel, Amos, Joel, Hosea, etc) and that you read them WITH UNDERSTANDING -that is, if you want to understand the New Testament. The entire Word of God is essential as a whole - people who split it up and only pay attention to the New Testament are cheating themselves and also not getting the full information needed.

One of your answerers said ';don't get all turned around wondering too much about places and stuff in the Bible';; wow, very bad advice, esspecially where the New Test. is concerned. why? Because every single thing said and done is a teaching, thats why. Names and places mean ALOT

in Scripture. In fact, you should get two study Books to help you (I insist every student have both of these as textbooks)

Companion Bible (published by Kregel) its

a King James that includes 190 appendix's with loads of necessary information including these Nations and how they will play out in these end times.

And also: Get a Strongs EXHAUSTIVE Concordance of the Bible: it works perfectly with the Companion Bible (or any KJ) and allows you to take any single word in Scripture and take it back to the original Greek, Hebrew or Chaldee so you get the full translation of it. There's loads of info contained in the names of people and names of Cities and other places.

When you get the Strongs, do not get the newest one - called ';Strongest Strongs'; -

get the regular Strongs (the new one we hear has been tampered with). But make absolutely sure it says ';exhaustive'; - this is most important, okay?

The Companion Bible has a right hand margin with incredible info from the manuscripts and the Massorah (the footnotes of the New Test. Writings) and its all right there at your fingertips.

These two books will be unbelievably great for your study.

Unfortunately, I have only found one single church in over 36 years that teach from the manuscripts, and have a teacher onboard who is fluent in all three Bible languages, and teaches verse by verse, line by line.

They will send you a free cd to get you started on your studies; its amazingly great, too. There is no charge, and they will never call you, because they are in NO need of students - they get over 500 new ones per week on a slow week. They do not do side-show circus acts, no talking in tongues, no healings, do not write books or do telethons, and they do not believe in asking for money - they believe if you teach the truth of Gods Word, then Christ will see to your church's survival. Its working, because they went from 15 members to teaching in over 92 million homes, and all they do is teach line by line, the Scripture of God.

Call them and get the free CD; it will help you on an amazing journey to real truth contained in the Scriptures - there are no costs whatsoever. They have a prophecy expert on staff and also a translator who assisted with the Dead Sea Scrolls and who translates for the U.S. Government on special assignment. They are very knowledgable.

Call them and get the free CD; you might find lots of your questions answered right on that cd itself:

    Good luck in your studies
In the New Testament the references to Egypt are symbolic of the World System as contrasted with the things of God. It is that simple. There is nothing hard or mysterious about it.
26 times in the new testament. Mainly in Acts because of Joseph. Most of the time it is talking about Egypt because of the Jews being slaves in Egypt. I don't really think there are 'hidden' meanings behind this.

I need advice from MARRIED CHRISTIAN women please....?

Can you email me through my profile? I have a question I dont know how to handle.. and if I just post it I know the responces I will get.. (I get them in my everyday life... and I am tired of that..lol) Thanks!I need advice from MARRIED CHRISTIAN women please....?
I just emailed you.I need advice from MARRIED CHRISTIAN women please....?
You can email me thru my profile. Emails may help but sometimes you need to seek council from the elders (or whoever your church has). The Bible talks about how those in authority and over your life have Topos or oversight given by God. Be careful of opinions. You want God and not opinions. His Word is final authority
