Do you feel Jesus around you all the time? What bible verses will help me? And should I start a journal just for Jesus and I?Christian's I need advice...?
You say you believe in Jesus.
Do you spend as much time reading the Bible as you spend reading Harry Potter?
Perhaps that would be a good place to start.Christian's I need advice...?
I'm not a Christian or religious, so I may be inappropriately answering, all the same if you don't feel him with you it doesn't mean that you're going to be condemned to hell I don't think? I know my friend who is religious likes the prayer of redemption, I don't know where it is in the bible or if it is even Christian but it's probably all over the net! I also think that the journal couldn't hurt to have, but it might hurt not to have so better safe then sorry lol, hopefully I helped some!
heya
I can realate to what you are talking about, i have felt in the past just really disconnected from god, like hes not there, not helping or walking with me but its really just a lie and a feeling that is put over you to make you give up on god....
You wont be condemned ohk so dont worry about that....
I feel Jesus around me all the time now and i found that it was really a result of pushing for more and being thirsty for god, i was sick of feeling far away from him and i was thristy for his presence so what are the practical things i did?
- Repent -well first obvious one but repent for the known sin in your life and ask him for help to change..
- Prayer, pray alot and just i mean make it like a conversation tell him everything even if you are annoyed with him just say ohk im annoyed right now help me understand help me beleive and love you
- Scripture, make time eachday to read scripture, take maybe an hour a day just to forget everything and just make yourself read some scripture and just reflect on it and ask questions about it
-Distractions, this is harder but really start avoiding things that are thoughtless and arnt really glorfiying god in anyway, i cut out alot of just junk tv for example, just be mindful of what you are doing...
Fellowship - get some fellowship in your life, talk with other christians about your problems and just hang out with them, feed off eachother and learn from eachother
Church - well yeah again obvious, but yeah make a renewed commitement to church, really go there to learn something and tro recieve from god, take a notebook make notes when your pastor is speaking, bring your bible with you and just make it a regular commitment, try and join a youth group etc
Well i hope these things will help you, sometimes we do feel far from god but its really to help us grow and learn and really fight for more of him......god bless

When I was a Christian, I asked myself, would I still be a Christian if I weren't afraid of being condemned to Hell. I figured that if my only motivation was so that I wouldn't be tortured, then I wasn't being sincere. I didn't ask that of anyone else, I was concerned about my relationship with Jesus, not anyone else's.
I'm agnostic now, so I'm not going to tell you that Jesus isn't real, I don't know. That exercise isn't what lead me away from Christianity. That happened several years later and gradually.
The exercise may not help you, or may cause you distress. All I know is that it helped me understand my faith at the time.
Ask Him what is wrong.
Simple prayer, but it works for me. Sometimes there is something that needs repented. There are other reasons for it too. sometimes it is a test of your faith. Sometimes He is waiting for things to line up before you take your next step.
I emailed my Pastor who replied with this:
Hi,
When a Christian dies he or she immediately goes to be with Jesus in heaven (2 Corinthians 5:8; Philippians 1:23). For a person to become a Christian they must realize they are a sinner and can’t do anything to merit God’s forgiveness (Romans 3:10-18 %26amp; 23); secondly, they must understand their sins will keep them away from Jesus and out of heaven forever, but Jesus does offer them complete forgiveness (Romans 6:23 %26amp; John 3:16). In order to receive Christ’s forgiveness they must confess their sins to Jesus (tell Christ their sorry their sins made Him have to die on the cross). Then they must repent – turn away from a sinful, disobedient and rebellious lifestyle – and turn by faith to Christ (Romans 10:9-13).
All this can be accomplish by praying to God, tell Jesus you’re a sinner and sorry for being that way. Repent – choose not to live in disobedience to Christ anymore. Thank Him for dying on the cross for you; He did that to take your sins away. Ask Him sincerely to forgive you and come into (take over) your life. After that find a good church that emphasizes Bible teaching in order to help you grow in grace through God’s Word (become more like Jesus).
As for judgment, there is no judgment for Christians on getting into heaven, that was settled at the cross, but we will be judged on how we lived our lives after becoming a believer (1 Corinthians 3:12-17; 2 Corinthians 5:10). Unbelievers when they die immediately go to hell (Luke 16:19-26); where they await final judgment from God (Revelation 20:11- 15) and then are cast into the lake of fire for eternal punishment (Matthew 25:41-46; 2 Thessalonians 1:7-9).
If you have anymore questions, please let me know…thanks for telling others about Christ’s forgiveness (Romans 10:15).
Have a blessed week!

First, like someone else said if you have accepted him as your Lord and Savior, then you can be sure of your salvation John 5:24 says ';I tell you the truth, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life.';
As to feeling that Jesus in not with you, well, I can assure you that Jesus, God, never leaves you nor forsakes you, it is a pledge, a guarantee that he has made to any of us who believe in him. You can find this promise in Hebrews 13:5, also in Deuteronomy 31:8, and my all time favorite is Joshua 1:9.
If you feel like he is far, it is not Him, most likely it is you, and if you are feeling this way, and are seeking an answer let me let you in in a secret..... He is calling you, telling you to come back! He is saying Hey remember me? I'm still here waiting. My advice to you is to pray, ask Him to show you where in your life you need growth, you need change, and obedience to Him, and repent ask for His forgiveness and follow Him., being a Christian and being saved does not stop in believing in Him, it is the beginning of a wonderful relationship! Go to church and fellowship with other Christians, read the Bible, seek Him and you will find Him (James 4:8) right next you, where He always has been. It is us who we stray, not Him. Yes, I too have felt Him far, not with me, but I can assure you looking back it was not Him it was me that strayed away from him. As to your journal idea, I think it is a GREAT idea, it can be of great help in your daily walk with Jesus!
I will be praying for you, God bless you.
If you are a Christian, you started your Christian walk with God by trusting Him for His Son, Jesus Christ. The things I've learned is to trust Him for everything else He said. That is supposed to initiate the Holy Spirit to work in you.
So trust Him for everything He says. You will get reoriented because you are pointing to the God who cares about you.
If you think you can do it, being a regimen of fasting. Even if it for 15 minutes, it's going to help. Not too many people fast I think. Fasting is telling your flesh to be quiet for a while, it's time for the things of the spirit. So pray and fast. I think it will help you to get close to God again. Even closer if it works for you like it did me.
Jesus will always be with you no matter what. You must believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross for your sins, and that he rose again to save you. Jesus Christ loves you very much, and will never quit loving you.
';My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father's hand. I and the Father are one.'; John 10:27 - 30
If you believe, then you are fine. Just because you can't 'feel' Jesus doesn't mean He's not there. (Ask God to help you with assurance.)
We don't go by feelings. We go by believing :)
If you believe in Jesus alone for salvation, then you will NEVER be sent to hell. That simple :)
Jesus is God, and Jesus loves you so very much! :D
The truth about Jesus is that the only way to be saved and to get into heaven and avoid being sent to eternal hell, is by believing in faith alone that Jesus, who is God, died on the cross for our sins as FULL PAYMENT for all our sins, and then Jesus rose from the dead (1 Corinthians 15:1-4). Believe in Jesus alone for salvation, and you will be in heaven, no matter what! Salvation is a FREE GIFT that happens in a split second when you believe in Jesus alone to save you! It is impossible to lose or ';leave'; salvation (John 6:39-40, John 10:28, 1 John 5:13).
Jesus promised he would never leave or forsake us. When you do not feel His presence it is because of something that you are doing not God. It could be that you have unrepented sin in your life. This does not mean Jesus is not there, only that you can not feel him. Sin can make us blind to the presence of God. In fact when we lose the presence of God we will fall into sin quite easily. One thing I do you can try. Every morning before I start my day I have what I call quiet time. Just me and Jesus. I read my Bible and then I pray. When I say amen I say to the Lord , I am not really saying amen . I am going to keep you in my heart and thoughts all day long. This is no easy task because the world around us competes for our attention. But it is possible. This is what Paul calls praying without ceasing. Just talk to God all day long , in your heart , whispering or out loud whatever is comfortable for you. You will find that as long as you do this you will not fall into sin.
One other thing . You might want to examine your faith . Do you believe that a mere intellectual belief in Jesus will save you? If so , you are mistaken. Many people say the ';sinners prayer'; and then go merrily on in their sin like the rest of the world. They are only fooling themselves . Obedience to God's commandments is the fruit of a true Christian. This means that since you love Christ and have surrendered your life a living sacrifice to him that you try as hard as you can to obey. Yes we all stumble , and Jesus will forgive you, but obedience is an essential part of salvation. Obedience is not the basis of our salvation , only Jesus' blood is , but it is an essential. Examine you faith and work out your salvation with God. Yes a journal would be good.
Hebrews 13:5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
1 Thessalonians 5:17 Pray without ceasing.
2 Corinthians 13:5 Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves.
Philippians 2:12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.
John 14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.
1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
If you truly ''accepted'' Jesus as Lord and Saviour, and Love and Believe in his word, then read Heb 13:5.what did Jesus tell you ?Saviour means ?
Draw near to Him and He will draw near to you,did you know that if you
were one person living on earth your Jesus would come one day to take you home ?Think about it !
well it is good that you have that belief in God, and that he sent his son to die and rise again for you. right before just ascended not heave to sit at the right hand of the father to make constant intercession for you he said that that he was going to leave us with the Holy Spirit. the holy spirit was going to lead us into all truth. the holy spirit shall be our comforter. the we shall be filled with the holy spirit and he shall live on the inside of us and we shall be his temple where he shall rest rule and reside. the holy spirit is the very thing that God sent us that we might have him with us at all time.
Yes, most of the time, but it took me years to.
In time you will feel him, no one can make you feel Jesus.
Yes, if you want to. I keep a journal/diary, and occasionally end up writing prayers to God.
If something bothers you, take it to God in prayer. Ask and you shall receive... knock and the door will be opened. pray about it : ) just because you don't ';feel'; God doesn't meant that God isn't there.
“I love them that love me; and those that seek me diligently shall find me”. Prov 8:17
';Everyone whom the Father gives me will come to me. I will never turn away anyone who comes to me.'; John 6:37
Learn a meditation technique to start you off with a more advanced form of prayer.
Do not feel alone. I am the same way, but I know where I'm going. So please, don't lose faith in any way, you'll feel Him someday. Just wait things out.
We dont walk by sight but by Fiath. Sometimes we get those feelings but God is there all the time. Hebrews 13:5
i feel bad for you you are forceing your self to bealive in something you clearly dont just out of fear
