Have you got any Christian or Biblical advice for someone going to University? going?

Stay curious and open minded. If you hear stuff that conflicts with

what you now believe, just take it into consideration. Eventually

you will have the time and desire to sort it all out in your mind.

Remember, you are still young and learning. If you make mistakes,

oh well, that's how one learns usually.

Make God your learning partner. Talk to Him all day and ask for

His help in all things. Don't judge others habits, vices, woes,

characters, beauty or learning ability. Remember, we are all God's children.Have you got any Christian or Biblical advice for someone going to University? going?
The advice I was going to give you seems to be here already but to recap:

1) Remember the pit from which you were dug - remain a Christian. On of the easiest ways to do this it to -

2) Get in with a group of Christian friends to fellowship with and mix with. You can support them and they can support you.

3) Keep up with your bible reading and prayer. Get to know who you are in Christ - Make a list of the things the bible says we are as Christians and make this list personal ';I am more than a conqueror'; ';I can do all things through Christ who gives me the strength and power';, ';I am the righteousness of God in Christ';, ';I am redeemed from the curse of the law';

4) When you lack wisdom ask God for it. He tells us ';if any one lack wisdom, let him ask of God Who gives liberally and abradeth not

5) Keep attending church and get a good pastor who will look after you spiritually.

6) Remind your parents to uphold you in prayer, you will need it.

7) Always be willing to give testimony of the hope that is within you.

8) Always be prepared to defend your beliefs.

9) Be prepared ffor opposition from both staff and fellow students.Have you got any Christian or Biblical advice for someone going to University? going?
Put on the full armor of God at all times!:

Ephesians 6:11-18 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil.

For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.

Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm.

Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness,

and, as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace.

In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one;

and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God,

praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication.
Join the Christian Union --- that way you will have good friends who will be friends for life. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Universitie鈥?/a>

Don't take yourself too seriously.

Try to establish a working routine so that you keep up with the work, rather than lag behind.
work with the talents you are given. Don't bury them into the ground for safekeeping.

Remember, you are old enough to put in an 8 hour day. So you owe whoever pays your tuition fee as a minimum that much effort.
If you are studying a scientific subject, leave your religious hat behind
I can tell you what my parents said when I left home for college -

My dad said 'remember who you are'........

and my mom said 'remember who your mother is - and don't you let me down!'

:D
stay on the brighten path and dont stray away
