Can anyone offer some good Christian advice?

I've just spent over twenty years studying Ancient Hebrew, Koine Greek and Aramaic, only to find that the original scriptures still don't make much sense.


Where can I go from here?Can anyone offer some good Christian advice?

Make it a matter of pray and patiently wait for the answer. God will show you the way especially if you are sincere in wanting to knowing about the bible. Even in this troubled world, you can gain happiness from accurate Bible knowledge of God, his Kingdom, and his wonderful purpose for mankind. 2 Tim. 3:16,17 says All Scripture is inspired of God and beneficial for teaching, for reproving, for setting things straight, for disciplining in righteousness, that the man of God may be fully competent, completely equipped for every good work.
If your a christian studying all these different languages might not help as some could hav even be altered. Remeber the word of God comes along with the Holy Spirit you need to ask him to help you understand. And if your not a christian you really wont understand to be understand start with the book of mathew in the new testament on borrow a Jesus film these might be your begining and if you really really want to understand which i think you do after 20 years! Simply ask jesus too come into your life, hell soon make it clear!

Study to show thyself approved


2Tm:2:14: Of these things put them in remembrance, charging them before the Lord that they strive not about words to no profit, but to the subverting of the hearers.

I think to use your mind to understand Jesus is the wrong way to go simply because Jesus pays more emphasis on the spirit. I personally would never understand him with my mind. However Jesus does say I am the Alpha and Omega using the greek letters. And some greeks have found codes of adding up mathematical numbers a certain way which gives messages of God written in greek. So I follow the original Church of Jesus.
Whenever there are things in the Bible that I don't understand, I turn to commentaries. There are so many Bible scholars out there that live their lives studing the bible and writing things that are easier for us to understand. Also talk to a pastor, they can often shed light on things!
If you cannot makes sense of Scripture after all that, then I do not know. I know of several people trained in the same languages who have no problems. Perhaps the problem is not with a document that has been accepted for thousands of years but with your studies.

And the writings of this scientific trinity are in plain (though sometimes mentally challenging) English. You could've spent twenty years learning about the beauty and elegance of the Universe instead.

Perhaps you should look harder or simpler,at what does make sense..Unless your losing too much in the translation..Bit of lateral thinking go on holiday?
If you will trust Christ as Lord and Savior then His Spirit will teach you, otherwise, time wasted.
Apply for an accelerated degree in Theology.
Study a book called ';A Course in Miracles';.
If you haven't accepted Christ ,they wont make any sense
