So i wanna start writing Christian songs, any advice?

So i have talked to a few people, some in the music business, and they said i should go ahead a try for a music career. I really wanna be a christian artist, but i keep getting writers block and i can't find any scripture to write about, any ideas??So i wanna start writing Christian songs, any advice?

Read the Bible or any Christian text you find inspirational.


Listen to some Christian songs or Christian talks.





This is how I write Christian songs!





Another tip, if you don't want to sound obvious or really preachy, try metaphors or abstract imagery. I find that really helpful to remember because otherwise my songs sometimes sound really patronizing or cheesy.

it could be a testimony





like ';Who Am I'; by Casting Crowns





but it doesnt necessarily have to be on scripture
just spend a lot of time thinking,





and make it come from the heart, no body can really help you on that on if you want it to mean something? except God, like i sad, just think a lot first, you will find inspiration?

Volunteer at a homeless shelter or soup kitchen or any


christian-based charity. Thank God ahead of time for the


blessings bestowed upon you from those experiences and


write about those...Ya know ';SEE IT, BE IT
Read Psalms.





Also, jump round in the Bible, reading random passages. Do this until you read something that ';strikes a chord'; with you.
step 1.take normal songs and replace places or names with the word ';god';





Step 2. Record said songs





Step 3. ???????





Step 4. Profit
