Why do Christians offer Christian advice to atheists?

:S

Its a bit irritating. Why do Christians offer Christian advice to atheists?
They are trying to help the best way they know, and I appreciate it most of the time. Why do Christians offer Christian advice to atheists?
1) I'm a Christian.

2) I respect the choice of a person to be atheist.

The first question would be: do they know you are an atheist before they offer advice? If so,

Many Christians feel the need to convert nonbelievers to the point that their frustration causes them to act un-Christian-like.

Many Christians offer Christian advice because they are so integrated in their beliefs that it permeates every aspect of their life, including the advice they offer others.
And why do atheists do the same with religious people? Seriously, for every christian who yells ';repent or burn in hell!';, there is an atheist spouting his slogans of ';religion is bullshit!';. Try to look at it from both perspectives; the christian is convinced that his advice is good, because it comes from the bible, which is the word of the christian God, and atheists find that annoying. Atheists believe there is no God, so they happily go about and insult and ridicule other people's faith, which religious people often take as blasphemy, so they most likely feel the need to offer christian advice as a means to ';educate them about the will of God, not realising that atheists do not believe in anything godly. Now, I am a christian myself, but that was not always the case. I can imagine both sides of the story all too well, because I have now been on both sides. Most christians mean well with their advice, and no doubt most atheists do too. However, the way in which advice is offered by both parties just is utterly counterproductive, and most likely results in spite.

Edit: It's a shame that people have to be that way, but you are right, Edward J, unfortunatly.
There's nothing wrong with Christian's offering advice to others of different beliefs. It's probably a bit pointless and disrespectful for that advice to constitute some form of ';believe in Jesus or burn in hell';, but otherwise I really can't see what your issue is.
Usually its in response to questions or pretend questions like this one.

My advice is to stay out of the R%26amp;S area if you don't need help and advice .

There are plenty of places to vent your personal views by way of answers rather than combining with your question.

It leaves very little room for open minds, does it?

That said, I do hope you enjoy free discussion with everyone and learn something about God and how to enjoy your life with Him...forever.
Obsessive your asking people to look at both sides of the equation Unfortunately few people have the desire to do anything that they think isn't in their own interest. Most people who come in here aren't looking for real answers hence they don't ask real questions. They just use this as a forum to promote the intolerance they accuse everyone else who doesn't agree with their slant.
Because they believe that they have to try and save them - They do this because they believe it will get them into their God's good books and so make it easier for them to get into their idea of heaven - an un-selfess act if you will -

Simply, they are doing it to profit (False Profit).
Concern? self-righteousness? arrogance? Piousness?

sincerity? following orders?

Many do it for wrong reasons and many for the right reasons.

If you warn someone they'll be hurt and they go ahead and do it, and they get hurt, who's at fault? They are.
cause christians have that belief in god and want you to join them of course so they try and force it on atheists b/c they think its the best thing for you but its probably not you know. everybody has their own point of view
Why do Atheists offer Atheist advice to Christians?

Atheists come to the R%26amp;S section because they are part of the Atheist religion (they are full of cosmological assumptions)
Deal with it or go outside, or better yet, ignore it. but for some reason, you're not complaining when Atheists offer Atheist advice? Are you? No.
'; . . . For he gives his sunlight to both the evil and the good, and he sends rain on the just and on the unjust, too'; (Matthew 5:45).

Be Blessed:-)
because just because it is christian advice doesn't mean it is bad i get could advice from racist just because you hate them doesn't mean they don't have good info
The Bible holds a ton of wisdom and solves a ton of problems.

But advice like ';pray about it'; can be a little useless to give to an atheist. I agree on that front.
what is ';christian advice';? unless it's like, ';believe in God,'; then it's just regular old advice right?
If you don't want to hear Christian advice then why do you come to the Religious section?
I don't know, but it's kind if like a person with hair offering shampoo solutions to a bald person.

Muldah: Your bigotry is showing.
Why do atheists ask advice in the religion section?
0 = 0 even nothing is something.
On the answer page I a looking at there is an ad about a clean mouse trap. You are like the woman after the man says we sure don't need any drama.
Well they not here to learn square dancing now are they?
Its called preaching the word of God.
That's how they ';save'; you
to try to convince atheist that they are right.simple.understand?
because we're right %26amp; you're wrong :)

you asked.
Why do atheists frequent religion forums? It's a bit irritating. Y!A ahould have a category called HAP - heathens, atheists and pagans
